This position will serve as a key member of the Outreach and Communications division, reporting directly to the Director of Outreach and Communications. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and execute outreach initiatives aimed at engaging adult learners who are interested in pursuing or returning to college, providing them with vital information on available financial aid options. The goal is to identify the approaches that hold the greatest potential for reconnecting adults with education and supporting them in completing their degrees. Based on NCSEAA analysis, the position will lead the development of a financial aid resource guide tailored specifically for adult learners, which will also include guidance on utilizing military education benefits for eligible service members and veterans. The Assistant Director for Adult Learner Outreach will play a key role in building strategic partnerships with organizations that serve adult learners, while also promoting the piloting of innovative financial aid strategies that could inform future policy recommendations. A successful leader in this position will establish a robust network of partners to create an ecosystem of support for adult learners, providing comprehensive programming, content, and outreach assistance. Additionally, the role will involve building strong relationships with military bases throughout the state to ensure that service members and veterans are well-informed about their available educational options. This position will also lead the development and implementation of a FAFSA Tracker designed specifically for adult learners, enabling them to track their progress in completing the FAFSA – a crucial step toward making college more affordable and accessible. The ideal candidate for this role will have exceptional communication, presentation, and project management skills.
