Purpose of Position

The Financial Aid Analyst plays a key role in supporting students through accurate, timely, and compliant financial aid processing. This position is responsible for monitoring student activity in Part of Term courses and completing essential processing tasks, including identifying affected students, communicating with them, and submitting information for withdrawal actions. The analyst also identifes and finalizes cases requiring reverse processing and re-awarding.

This roles serves as the primary point of contact for the Course Program of Study (CPoS) at Charlotte, ensuring financial aid is adjusted based on eligible coursework. Additional responsibilities include processing thesis and repeat coursework to maintain accurate aid eligiblity, as well as managing all unofficial withdrawals at the end of each term. 

Preferred

  • Financial Aid office experience with working knowledge of the federal, state and institutional requirements regarding aid administration; Experience with R2T4 calculations
  • Experience with Course Program of Study (CPoS).
  • Microsoft and Google Suite intermediate experience; Banner experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
