Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is seeking a dynamic, student-focused financial aid professional to join our Leadership Team as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid Services.

In this key leadership role, you’ll have the opportunity to support students, develop and lead a talented team, strengthen financial aid services, and collaborate with colleagues across campus to help students successfully navigate the financial aid process.

What You’ll Do

As the Assistant Director, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid Service Center and supervise a team of four Financial Aid Advisors, fostering a welcoming, responsive, and student-centered environment.

  • Coordinate the review of student appeals, including Satisfactory Academic Progress, Special Circumstances, and Unusual Circumstances appeals.

  • Lead student communication efforts, including financial aid communications, website updates, and FAFSA completion sessions in partnership with internal and external campus partners.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director and Financial Aid Leadership Team to evaluate, improve, and document processes that promote efficient, consistent, and compliant financial aid services.

  • Help ensure financial aid operations meet federal, state, and institutional requirements while continually looking for opportunities to improve the student experience.

The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable and collaborative financial aid professional who enjoys leading others, solving problems, improving processes, and helping students navigate the financial aid journey.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Three years of increasingly responsible experience in financial aid

  • At least one year of supervisory experience
